Wandsworth Crash: Elderly Pedestrian Dies After Collision

An 83-year-old man fatally injured in a Wandsworth collision has died in hospital days after the crash.

Tragic Crash on East Hill

Police were called around 9.55pm on Tuesday, 15 May, after reports of a car hitting a pedestrian at East Hill’s junction with Tonsley Hill, SW18. The man was rushed to a South London hospital with serious injuries but sadly passed away on 19 May.

Driver Co-operating with Police

The driver stayed at the scene and is helping officers with their investigation. No arrests have been made so far.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Constable James Ramsey from the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command said: “Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of what happened in the lead-up to this incident. I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who witnessed this collision or has information to come forward and speak to police. If you have any dash cam footage of the incident or events prior, this could be vital in establishing the exact series of events.”
