Police Called to M20 Incident
Police rushed to the M20 Londonbound between junctions 4 and 3 near Maidstone at 12:26pm on Friday after a lorry driver spotted people hiding in his trailer.
Eight People Handed Over to Immigration
Officers arrived swiftly and discovered eight individuals concealed inside the lorry. The group was handed over to the Home Office immigration enforcement team at Dover for further action.
Kent Police Confirm Details
A Kent Police spokesman said: “Police were called to the M20, between junctions 4 and 3 Londonbound, at 12.26pm on Friday, July 20 2018 following a report that a lorry driver had found people in his trailer. Officers attended and the eight people were handed over to the Home Office immigration enforcement facility in Dover.”
