Masked Thieves Scared Off in Sandown Break-In Attempt
Early Wednesday night, three hoodie-clad crooks tried their luck at a home in Fairview Crescent, Sandown, Isle of Wight—but their raid was foiled.
Burglars Jump Fence, Target Rear Doors
The gang scaled the back fence next to Sandown Bay Academy, sneaking into the homeowner’s garden. They then attempted to force open the rear doors of the property.
Light Sleeper Puts Thieves to Flight
The resident, described as a light sleeper, caught the burglars in the act and scared them off. The trio fled before the owner could catch them, despite giving chase.

Neighbours in Sandown report similar break-in attempts in the area, raising concerns over a possible string of burglaries.
