Five people arrested over Grenfell Tower mock
Five men remain in custody, having been arrested on suspicion of a public order offence in connection with an investigation into a video posted online that showed an effigy of Grenfell Tower being burnt. The men, aged 19, 46, 49,49 and 55, were arrested under section 4a of the Public Order Act after they handed themselves into a south London police station at 22.00hrs on Monday, 5 November. The Met’s Grenfell Tower investigation team is leading enquiries. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or by tweeting @MetCC, quoting ‘Operation Northleigh’.
