Power cut hits hundreds of home in Newport
A power cut has hit approx 300 homes across nine post coded areas of Newport this evening. Scottish and Southern Electricity Network engineers are aware of the issue and estimate that electricity supplies will be restored by 11pm The loss of power has happened after a company carrying out installations of ducinting is the street struck a low voltage power can after cutting through it. They have advised that the outage is affecting many properties within the following post codes: PO30 5AL PO30 5AT PO30 5AU PO30 5GL PO30 5HD PO30 5JL PO30 5QA PO30 5QW
