Ryde school pupil airlift after broken ankle
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air A A A A Ryde school pupil has been airlifted by air after breaking their ankle during s sports session at the school this afternoonz The helicopter was called into action this afternoon (Thursday) and landed on the playing fields at Ryde School. Flying doctors flew to the Isle of Wight after the concerns of a serious break and no pulse reaching the foot of the casualty. After stabilising the student at scene medics transferred the youngster to St Mary’s Hospital, Newport in the helicopter.
