Man Plunges Into Royal Victoria Dock Water, Emergency Teams Scramble
Emergency services raced to Royal Victoria Dock Bridge in Britannia Village, Docklands, this afternoon after a man jumped into the water at around 3pm.
Police Seal Off Riverbank as Search Intensifies
Met Police quickly cordoned off the south side riverbank. A spokesman said: “We were called to a man threatening to jump off a bridge. We’re still at the scene ensuring his safety.”
Public Heroics and Water Rescue Efforts
- Two brave members of the public tried to save the man but unfortunately failed.
- Paramedics and the water rescue team joined the police in the search operation.
- Despite a full-scale search, the man remains missing.
Emergency crews continue combing the water and riverbank in hopes of locating him.
