Four Charged After Fatal Maidstone Brawl

A 21-year-old man died following a violent disturbance in Maidstone town centre, sparking a police crackdown. The incident unfolded at around 3am on Sunday, 25 August 2019, on the High Street.

Suspects in Custody

Four people were arrested that very same morning. The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has now charged each with violent disorder. The accused are:

  • Yussef Abdi Aweys, 19, from Lightfoot Road, Crouch End, London
  • Nathaniel Small, 22, from Boyton Road, London
  • Two others yet to be named publicly

All four remain in custody and are set to face Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 27 August 2019.
