Vehicle leaves carriageway closing the A34 Northbound near Winchester

The A34 in Hampshire is closed northbound between the A33 (Abbots Worthy) and the A303 (Bullington Cross) due to a 2 vehicle collision. One vehicle has left the carriageway and come to rest down a surrounding embankment, the road is closed to allow emergency services to work at scene. Traffic is being diverted and should follow the solid diamond symbol. Continue travelling north on the M3 and exit at Junction 7 signposted Basingstoke. Use the rbt to access the M3 southbound and exit at J8 and merge onto the A303 west. You can either re-join the A34 at Bullington Cross or continue on the A303
