Manhunt Underway After Shocking East London Acid Attack
A 20-year-old man is fighting for his safety after a brutal acid attack on an East London high street. The victim was robbed of his moped in broad daylight on Mentmore Terrace, Hackney, just past noon on Saturday.
Robbery Turns Nasty With Knife Threat and Acid Assault
What began as a robbery quickly spiralled into violence. The attacker first threatened the victim with a knife before hurling a corrosive substance into his face. Paramedics and the Metropolitan Police rushed to the scene near London Fields station, where the victim was swiftly taken to an East London hospital.
Stolen Moped Abandoned, No Arrests Yet
Police later discovered the stolen moped abandoned nearby. Despite a full-scale manhunt, no arrests have been made yet as enquiries continue.
