Man Charged After Police Officers Hit by Car in Penge

Harry Mackenney, 30, from Parnham Close, Bromley, has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm, and false imprisonment. The charges come after two police officers were struck by a vehicle on Avenue Road, Penge, on Saturday, 22 February.

Officers Rushed to Hospital

The officers were hurt while trying to stop Mackenney’s vehicle. Both were rushed to hospital following the shocking incident.

Next Court Date Set

Mackenney appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 24 February, and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at the Old Bailey on 23 March.
