Motorcyclist Killed After Crashing into Lamp-Post in East London
Emergency services rushed to Plashet Road near Lucas Avenue, E13, at 5.42pm on Saturday, 18 April, following a serious road traffic collision.
Tragic Scene as Man Pronounced Dead
Officers and London Ambulance Service found a 37-year-old male motorcyclist who had smashed into a lamp-post. Sadly, Zahid Hussain, from the Plaistow area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and formal identification is complete.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Crucial Dashcam Footage
Detectives are appealing for anyone who was driving in the area at the time to come forward, especially those with dashcam footage. They are keen to trace a white Mercedes seen driving east along Plashet Road just before the collision who may hold vital information.
No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
