Death of man in Ashford no longer being investigated as murder

 

 

The death of a man in Ashford is no longer being treated as suspicious.

Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate arrested a man on suspicion of murder after a body was reported to have been found at 4.28pm on Saturday 23 May 2020 in Military Road, Appledore.

 

Following enquiries and results of a post mortem investigation, the death is currently being treated as accidental and a man in his 30s who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released under investigation.

 

Formal identification of the victim has taken place and the man’s next of kin has been informed.
