Follow These Signed Diversions or Expect Major Delays

Drivers face lengthy delays. Official diversions use the hollow circle symbol. Here’s the route to avoid the closure:

  • Exit M4 at Junction 13
  • At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A34 southbound towards Newbury
  • At A34/A339 interchange, follow A339 for 2.5 miles
  • At A339/A4 roundabout, take 2nd exit onto A4 London Road
  • Follow A4 for 12.5 miles, then take 3rd exit at roundabout to rejoin M4 eastbound

Anyone travelling towards this stretch should expect disruption and extra journey time. Alternative routes or delays are advised.

For drivers coming from further afield, on-road variable message signs will show delay info until the closure clears.
