Detectives investigating a fight at the Sutton Arms pub on Station Lane in Hornchurch are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Police were called at 11.10pm on Friday, 24 July following reports of an altercation inside the pub.
Officers attended but those involved had already left.
One man sustained a minor head injury and was treated at the scene.
Detective Constable Daniel Smith is leading the investigation, he said:
“If you were in the Sutton Arms on Friday, 24 July around 11pm we really need to hear from you.
“Mobile phone footage of this incident has been widely shared online and in the press. What this footage shows is a significant number of people witnessed this altercation and we really need to speak to them to find out exactly what they saw.
“It is really important that we find out what you know as it could be significant to our investigation. If you have not already spoken to us please get in touch with us or to stay anonymous by calling Crimestoppers.”
There have been no arrests.
