Convicted Paedophile Caught with Shocking Child Abuse Images Despite Previous Sentence

Alan Walton Busted Again for Possessing Horrific Images

Alan Walton, 35, is back in court after vile new child abuse images were found on his phone and a USB stick. The Hartlepool loner was originally convicted in 2017 when police uncovered a 170-page “paedophile manual” and over 1,100 indecent images on his device.

Despite being handed a suspended jail term and a five-year sexual harm prevention order, Walton clearly failed to reform. Officers raided his home on January 28 after fresh intel revealed he’d continued accessing sickening material.

Shocking Scale of Abuse Material Uncovered

At Teesside Crown Court, Prosecutor Paul Newombe revealed Walton downloaded 1,115 illegal images including 14 videos between October 2018 and January 2024. The cache included:

  • 293 category A images and videos (the most severe legally)
  • 158 category B images
  • 417 category C images

The horrifying files showed the rape of children, some as young as one or two years old.

Evading Police Using Multiple Aliases on the Dark Web

Walton also breached his sexual harm prevention order by hiding seven different online identities from the authorities. He accessed the dark web using variations of his own name to avoid detection.

Police seized a Samsung mobile and a USB stick at Walton’s Stephen Street home. Both contained the indecent images and evidence of dark web activity.

Judge Slams Walton, Sends Him to Prison

Recorder Christopher Smith condemned Walton’s crimes. He said: “Downloading these sickening images only fuels demand and causes more children to be hurt.” Walton was sentenced to two and a half years behind bars.

The court also slapped on a 10-year sexual harm prevention order to keep Walton under tight control when released.
