Warning After Two Creepy Stranger Incidents in Southampton
Police have launched an urgent appeal after two disturbing incidents involving a suspicious man targeting children in Southampton.
First Incident: Man Offers Lift, Claims to Know Child’s Mum
On November 17, a child walking along Newtown Road was approached by a white man aged 50-60. The man, with short grey hair and a slight build, stopped near the student and offered a lift home. Shockingly, he also claimed to know the child’s mother.
When the child asked for the mother’s surname, the man quickly drove off in an old grey Vauxhall.
Second Incident: Similar Stranger Makes Inappropriate Comments
Today, on Wildern Lane, police received two reports of a similar suspect – a grey-haired man in his 60s, driving a silvery car. This time, the man made inappropriate comments before offering a lift and again claimed to know the child’s mum.
Police want anyone who has seen this man or the vehicle to come forward immediately by calling 101.
