Man Charged with Murder After Caversham Stabbing

28-Year-Old O’Neal Joseph Arrested

O’Neal Joseph, 28, from Amersham Road, Caversham, has been formally charged with murder. The charge relates to the death of 24-year-old Yannick Cupido following a stabbing incident in Caversham on Sunday, 14 February.

Joseph is currently in custody and will appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on 18 February.

Victim Dies at Scene with Fatal Stab Wound

Police were called to Managua Close, Caversham, at around 12.55am on Sunday. Officers found a man suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Tragically, he died at the scene.

The victim has now been identified as Yannick Cupido, aged 24. A post-mortem confirmed death was caused by a stab wound to the left lung and pulmonary artery.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

Detective Inspector Mike Roddy, of Thames Valley Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Yannick’s family at this incredibly difficult time. They continue to receive support from specially trained officers.”
