Grandma Robbed After Covid Jab – Hunt On For Suspect
Police were called at 8.55am on Sunday, March 28, after a woman in her 70s was targeted on Rectory Green. The victim had just received her COVID jab when a man snatched her mobile phone and bank card. Thankfully, she wasn’t hurt but was left shaken up.
High-Speed Chase Ends With Suspect Injured
Officers spotted a man they believe is the thief on Bury New Road shortly after. A chase broke out, during which the suspect resisted arrest. Police deployed a Taser and used a baton, causing the man to suffer a head wound before he managed to escape.
Police Appeal For Information
The suspect’s current whereabouts are unknown. Police have released images of a man they want to speak to regarding the incident and whose welfare they are concerned about.
