Man in his 30s Shot and Stabbed to Death in Hackney

Police have launched a murder probe after a man believed to be in his 30s was both shot and stabbed in Hackney in the early hours of Saturday.

Tragic Attack in Gillett Square

Armed officers and paramedics rushed to Gillett Square, Dalston, at around 1:10am following reports of shots fired. They discovered the victim with severe injuries.

Despite frantic lifesaving efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Investigation Underway

Police have shut down Gillett Square and nearby roads as they comb the area for clues. The Met Police say inquiries are ongoing to confirm the victim’s identity and notify his next of kin.

A post-mortem will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death. No arrests have been made yet.
