Man Shot Dead in Tottenham Cemetery – Murder Probe Underway
A chilling murder investigation is underway after a 22-year-old man was shot dead in Tottenham Cemetery, N17. The grim discovery was made at 7.53am on Monday, 3 September when police rushed to the scene.
Armed Police and Air Support Respond
Armed officers, the National Police Air Service (NPAS), and London Ambulance Service were all called in after reports of gunfire. Sadly, the young victim was found with fatal gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide Squad Takes Charge
The Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) is leading the investigation. Detective Inspector Simon Stancombe said, “At this early stage, we are keeping an open mind on the motive. I urge anyone who saw something to come forward immediately.”
No arrests have been made so far. The victim’s next of kin have been informed, but formal identification and a post-mortem are pending.
