Massive Fire Erupts at Romford Delights in Chadwell Heath
Seventy firefighters and ten engines have raced to tackle a huge blaze tearing through Romford Delights on Chadwell Heath’s High Road.
Early Morning Inferno Shuts Down Major Road
The fire broke out just after 3.30am on Monday, quickly spreading to the building’s upper floors. Authorities shut the High Road in both directions as crews from across East London fought the flames.
High-Tech Gear & Drone Support on Scene
Firefighters, decked out in breathing apparatus, used multiple hose reels and deployed an aerial ladder to control the well-developed blaze. The brigade’s drone team was also scrambled to get a bird’s-eye view of the fire.
Bus Routes Disrupted Amid Ongoing Investigation
Investigators are now probing the cause of the fire. Fire crews expect to stay on site for hours. Meanwhile, bus routes 62, 86, 173, 362, and N86 are running revised routes.
