Massive Fire Hits Hounslow Takeaway and Flats

Six fire engines and 40 firefighters raced to tackle a blaze at a takeaway restaurant with flats above on Kingsley Road, Hounslow.

Ducting and Roof Engulfed in Flames

The fire started on the ground floor and spread quickly through the ducting to the first floor. Parts of the roof and ground floor are also alight. One woman was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews.

Major Traffic Chaos as Road Closed

Station Commander Richard Janssens said: “The fire started in the ground floor of the building and has spread via the ducting. The road has been closed and there is a lot of congestion locally, so we advise people to avoid the area where possible.”

Although the nearby train station remains open, access is tricky due to the fire’s proximity.

Fire Crews From Four Stations Battle Blaze

The Brigade was called at 11.02am. Crews from Heston, Hayes, Feltham, and Southall fire stations are on site working to control the fire. The cause remains unknown.
