Smoke Alarm Sparks Fire Drama in Hampshire Home
Blaze Breaks Out While Occupier Is Out
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service rushed to a house fire after reports of a smoke alarm blaring at 12:35pm on 8 November.
Firefighters Storm In
Crews from Southsea and Cosham arrived fast. They forced entry as smoke poured from a window. Two firefighters donned breathing apparatus and blasted the flames with a high-pressure jet hose. Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) was used to clear thick smoke from inside the property.
Investigation Underway
Thankfully, the resident was out when the fire broke out, avoiding injury. An investigation has now been launched to find out what sparked the blaze.
