Teen Stabbed to Death in Southall – Police Launch Murder Inquiry
Rishmeet Singh, 16, a local teenager, has been confirmed as the victim following a stabbing on Raleigh Road, Southall. The family has been informed and are receiving specialist support.
Fatal Stabbing After Group Fight
Police were called just after 9pm on Wednesday, 24 November, following reports of a fight involving a group. Officers and paramedics found Rishmeet with fatal stab wounds. Despite emergency efforts, he tragically died at the scene.
A post-mortem will be carried out in due course. No arrests have been made yet, but detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command are relentlessly pursuing leads.
Police Plead for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Chief Inspector James Shirley said: “My thoughts and those of my team are with Rishmeet’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. We’re working around the clock to bring those responsible to justice.”
“If you were near Raleigh Road just after 9pm Wednesday and saw anything, please come forward. You might hold vital evidence. Check your doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage – any help is crucial.”
Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson echoed the call: “Rishmeet’s death has deeply shocked the community. We’re committed to finding the attackers and providing reassurance with more policing on the streets.”
Dispersal Order and How to Help
A Section 35 dispersal order is in place until 2.29pm on Sunday, 28 November, covering Southall Broadway, Southall Green, the Havelock Estate, Uxbridge town centre, and Hayes town centre. This gives officers powers to move people on to maintain peace.
