Two Dead in Doncaster Stabbing: Five Arrests Made After Nighttime Brawl
19-Year-Old Held Over Double Murder
A 19-year-old man is in police custody, suspected of murder in connection with a deadly stabbing in Doncaster. The tragic incident claimed the lives of two men, Janis, 17, and Ryan, 20, both from Doncaster.
So far, police have made five arrests. Two 41-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender but have since been released under investigation.
Other Arrests and Releases
- A 17-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday (29 January) for murder but later released on bail.
- An 18-year-old man was arrested over a serious public order offence related to the incident but has been released without charge.
The Fatal Attack: What We Know
The stabbing occurred just after 2.30am on Saturday during a clash between several young men in Doncaster town centre. The fight started on Silver Street and spilled onto High Street, ending outside the KFC.
Despite efforts by police, paramedics, and passersby, Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene. Janis was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his injuries. Post-mortems confirmed both died from stab wounds.
