Brent Duo Jailed for Shocking Kidnap and Rape Spree
After an eight-week trial at Isleworth Crown Court, Abdul Howe, 21, of Fortunegate Road, Brent, was found guilty of a terrifying string of crimes. His convictions include two counts of kidnap, seven counts of rape, sexual assault by penetration, false imprisonment, bodily harm, possession of a blade, and perverting the course of justice. His mate, Ajani Williams, also 21, from Keslake Road, Brent, was convicted of multiple counts of rape, false imprisonment, bodily harm, possession with intent to supply drugs, and perverting justice.
Horrific Abuse Uncovered
The victim, a vulnerable 17-year-old girl, bravely came forward in September 2020. She reported being kidnapped and sexually assaulted after meeting Howe on social media. Howe groomed her as part of a ruthless County Lines drug operation running between London and Ipswich.
She was taken from her Ipswich home, assaulted with nunchucks, and raped in a hostel. Howe then forced her to travel to his Hammersmith flat where Williams awaited. Over two days, the pair subjected her to repeated rape and abuse. Before letting her go, they forced her to record a voice note falsely claiming she consented to sex.
Police Praise Victim’s Bravery
Detective Constable Tony Larkin, who led the probe, slammed the men as “extremely dangerous” and said the victim’s testimony was “one of the most distressing I have ever heard.” He added:
“The offences committed by these men against a vulnerable teenage girl are abhorrent. Our community is safer now they’re behind bars. The victim has shown incredible bravery by coming forward and helping secure these verdicts. We hope this sends a clear message that we take these crimes seriously and will support victims at every stage.”
Justice Served at Last
This case exposes the dark underbelly of County Lines gangs exploiting young victims for their criminal enterprise. Howe and Williams now face lengthy sentences for their horrific crimes, ending their reign of terror.
Britain’s streets are a little safer today thanks to the victim’s courage and relentless police work.
