Masked Mob Strike Twice in Blundell Sands – Police Arrest Four

Police were called to a double burglary in Blundell Sands on Saturday morning, June 4. At 11:40 a.m., a gang of masked men forced their way into a home on Burbo Bank Road, stealing a large haul of jewellery and spraying the resident with an unknown substance before fleeing on foot.

Second Break-In Ends in Assault and More Theft

Just over an hour later, officers received reports of a second raid at Hillcrest Lodge on Cuckoo Lane. Witnesses say a man knocked on the door, then forced his way inside with three accomplices. A woman was assaulted during the robbery, while the burglars made off with more jewellery.

Chase Ends with Four Arrests After Abandoned Audi

Police tracked a blue Audi S4 seen in the area, which was abandoned following a brief pursuit in Hale Village. After a thorough search, four men aged between 24 and 34 from Liverpool and Cardiff were arrested. They remain in custody at a Merseyside police station.

Hunt Continues for Fifth Suspect – Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

“This was clearly a terrifying incident for the occupants of both homes,” said Detective Inspector Phil Ryan. “Fortunately, they were not seriously injured, but their ordeals clearly left them distressed. Although four suspects have been apprehended, we are still looking for a fifth.”

Detectives are appealing for anyone in Blundell Sands or Gateacre who saw the gang or anything suspicious to contact Merseyside Police. Mention reference 22000384726.
