Man, 60, Dies After Being Hit by Car in Axe Close Horror
Tragic Road Death in Axe Close
Emergency crews were called to Axe Close after reports of a disturbance. They found Robert Duggan, 60, seriously injured in the road, having been struck by a car. Despite efforts, Robert was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the scene.
Arrest Made Over Fatal Collision
Police arrested a man in his 50s last night on suspicion of murder in connection with Robert’s death. He remains in custody as detectives question him. Specialist officers are supporting Robert’s family through this traumatic time.
Police Plea for Witnesses
“We are continuing multiple lines of enquiry to uncover what led to Mr Duggan’s death,” said Detective Inspector Iain Macpherson of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit. “While an arrest has been made, we urge anyone with information to come forward.”
