Man Hospitalised After Brutal Assault in Barnstaple
Police rushed to Pulchrass Street around 9pm on Wednesday, June 22, following reports of a violent assault. A man suffered serious head and facial injuries and was taken to hospital.
Van Stolen and Set Ablaze in Shocking Crime Spree
Thieves also made off with the keys to a van, which was later found badly damaged by fire at Pilton Causeway car park between 11.10pm and 11.30pm the same night.
Suspect Arrested and Released on Bail
A 34-year-old man from Barnstaple was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He has since been released on police bail and must return on July 20 as investigations continue.
