Police are pleading with the public for assistance in identifying the man in these photographs, with whom we want to speak following the death of Lilia Valutyte, nine.
Officers now have CCTV images of a man we need to find as part of our fast-moving murder investigation. Any information, no matter how minor, could be critical to our investigations.
Two people arrested earlier this week have been released with no further action taken.
“Our officers have been working around the clock on this investigation,” said Chief Superintendent Martyn Parker, “and the public’s assistance may prove critical.”
“These are very clear images of a man we want to speak with, so anyone with information should contact us.” If you see him, do not approach him and instead dial 999.
“This is a particularly tragic case, and I’d like to reassure the public that we are devoting significant resources to the investigation.”
We continue to offer our condolences to Lilia’s family as they mourn this unimaginable loss.
If you see this man, do not approach him; instead, call 999 and reference Incident 419 of July 28.
