Four 14-year-olds have been arrested after a suspicious blaze destroyed a nursery building at Highfield Priory School.

Arson Shocker at Prestigious School

Lancashire Fire and Rescue urgently called police at 7.25pm on Saturday, October 15th, after flames ripped through the separate nursery block at Highfield Priory School. The building was completely destroyed in the fire.

Teens Arrested Over Suspicious Blaze

Police have arrested four boys, all aged 14, on suspicion of criminal damage – arson not endangering life. They have since been released on bail as the investigation continues.

Detective Appeal for Witnesses

“While we have made a number of arrests, our investigation is very much ongoing,” said Det Insp George Binns of Preston CID. “I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or has information that could assist our enquiries to get in touch.”
