Man Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision Identified as Joshua Lloyd, Police Appeal for Suspect’s Whereabouts – UKNIP

South Yorkshire Police have identified the 27-year-old man critically injured in a hit-and-run collision in Wath earlier this month as Joshua Lloyd. Joshua remains in hospital in a critical condition, and his family has released a photograph of him while requesting privacy during this challenging time.

As the investigation continues, the Serious Collisions Unit has issued a renewed appeal for information regarding the whereabouts of Kallum Flowers, who is wanted for questioning in connection with the collision. Despite previous public appeals, the 33-year-old Flowers has yet to be located.

Sergeant John Taylor emphasised the urgency of the situation, stating, “Flowers knows that we want to speak to him in connection with this collision, and we believe he is actively evading contact with our officers. We must consider the possibility that Flowers may be seeking assistance from friends and associates to remain hidden. However, I would stress to those individuals that aiding him in avoiding the authorities could lead to potential criminal charges.”

The collision occurred nearly three weeks ago at the junction of Rotherham Road and Firth Road in Wath-upon-Dearne. With Joshua fighting for his life in the hospital, his family is desperately seeking answers about the incident. Sergeant Taylor appealed to the public’s empathy, urging them to consider their own loved ones and the impact such a situation would have on them.

He added, “If you have any information about Flowers’ whereabouts or past locations, I urge you to come forward. If you prefer not to communicate directly with the police, you can provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers.”

South Yorkshire Police have set up various channels to facilitate information sharing. Individuals can contact them online, engage in webchat, or call 101, quoting incident number 1004 of June 11, 2023. For confidential information, Crimestoppers, an independent charity, can be reached via freephone at 0800 555 111 or through an online form on their website, http:///www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
