A devastating road traffic collision on the B1078 in the Campsea Ashe area of Woodbridge has claimed the life of a man. Emergency services, including police, ambulance crews, and an air ambulance, were summoned to the scene today, Saturday, July 1, at approximately 11.00 BST following reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle.
Regrettably, the male motorcyclist, aged in his 40s, suffered severe injuries and succumbed to them at the scene, despite the valiant efforts of medical professionals. The loss of life is a heart-wrenching tragedy, and our thoughts go out to the family and friends affected by this devastating incident.
In response to the collision, road closures have been implemented for Station Road, at the junction with B1078 and B1069, as well as at Green Man P/H in Tunstall. These closures are expected to remain in place for an extended period, and motorists are strongly advised to steer clear of the affected area and seek alternative routes to their destinations.
