Knife thug gets 10 years for stabbing man in Folkestone street brawl
Knife attack sparks chaos in Sandgate
Violent offender Loui Allman was handed a decade behind bars for stabbing a man twice during a late-night disturbance in Folkestone. The incident kicked off on the early hours of August 21, 2021, as Allman walked down Sandgate Road heading into town. He began shouting and verbally abusing a group of people he encountered.
Victim airlifted after lung injury
When one of the men challenged Allman, the 33-year-old pulled out a knife and plunged it twice into the victim’s side. Emergency services rushed in, airlifting the injured man — in his twenties — to a London hospital, where doctors later found the blade had pierced his lung.
Fugitive caught and sentenced
Allman, from St Eanswythe Way, fled the scene but was caught by Kent Police the same day. At Canterbury Crown Court on July 15, 2022, he pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and carrying a knife.
The judge sentenced him to 10 years in prison — six years before he can even apply for parole.
Police warn public after violent attack
“Members of the public should feel free to walk the streets of Kent without being verbally abused and attacked by the likes of Loui Allman,” said PC Damien Dixon.
“He had no reason to pick a fight with the victim and his friends, let alone carry and use a knife so recklessly.”
“This sentence reflects just how dangerous Allman really is.”
