At around 4.10pm on Monday, January 9, 2023, a man and woman were strolling through the Borough when two males approached them asking for a lighter. The pair ignored them and kept walking.
Attack Outside Fast Food Spot
They stopped in front of a fast food restaurant, only to be confronted again as they left. This time, violence erupted. The man was brutally assaulted, suffering serious facial injuries. He needed urgent hospital treatment.
