Teen Held After Massive Cannabis Haul Found in Carlton
A 16-year-old boy was nabbed by police just 24 hours after a huge stash of dried cannabis was uncovered during a raid in Carlton.
Drugs, Cash, Phones, and Weapons Seized
The swoop on Coningswath Road revealed a shopping bag stuffed with dried cannabis. Officers also found bundles of cash, deal bags, and multiple phones. The haul didn’t stop there – weapons including nunchucks and two swords were recovered from the property.
Quick Police Work Leads to Arrest
The raid happened on Tuesday, 28 February, led by Nottinghamshire’s Gedling Operation Reacher team. Following the find, cops launched a probe to find those responsible.
By Wednesday morning (1 March), the same team stopped a taxi on Main Road, Gedling. Inside was the teen, arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
Sergeant James Carrington said: “We’re pleased to have arrested a suspect following the cannabis haul discovered during the warrant a day earlier.”
“My team didn’t rest—they planned a smart operation to catch our suspect. Operation Reacher really makes a difference when we get intelligence to tackle drug crime.”
“Anyone with information about this case should contact police on 101, quoting incident 78 of 28 February 2023. You can also report other crimes in the Gedling area the same way.”
