Detectives Have Charged A Man Following The Death Of A Man Who Was Assaulted In Edgware

Man Charged with Manslaughter After Edgware Head Injury Death

Suspect in Custody Over Fatal Attack

Fabian Botcha, 39, from Manor Park Gardens, Edgware, was initially charged with causing grievous bodily harm on Thursday, 23 March. However, following the death of 39-year-old Marian Cioclu later that day, the charge was upgraded to manslaughter.

Botcha appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court and is set to face the Old Bailey on Monday, 24 April.

Victim Suffered Serious Head Injury

At about 3pm on Sunday, 19 March, police were called by the London Ambulance Service to Station Road, Edgware, where a man was found with a serious head injury.

Marian Cioclu was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but sadly died on 23 March. His family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.
