Three Arrested Over Shocking Murder of 10-Year-Old Sara Sharif
A tragic murder case has rocked Woking after 10-year-old Sara Sharif was found dead at her family home. Urfan Sharif, 41, his partner Beinash Batool, 29, and Urfan’s brother Faisal Malik, 28, all from Hammond Road, appeared in court charged with Sara’s murder and with causing or allowing the death of a child.
Sara’s Body Found at Woking Home
The heartbreaking discovery was made on August 10, when Sara’s lifeless body was found on the bottom bunk of a bunk bed in an upstairs bedroom. The exact cause of her death remains unknown as investigations continue.
Accused Fled UK Before Arrest
In a startling twist, the three defendants fled the UK on August 9 – a day before Sara’s body was found. They spent over five weeks abroad before being caught at Gatwick Airport on their return from Dubai.
Remanded in Custody Ahead of Old Bailey Hearing
After more than 28 hours in police custody, the trio was formally charged on Friday morning. They have since been remanded in custody. Their next court appearance is scheduled at the Old Bailey in London.
