Second Man Charged with Murder of Hamza Iqbal in Wembley Stabbing
Micah Hines, 20, from Victoria Avenue, Brent, has been charged with the murder of 25-year-old Hamza Iqbal. Alongside murder, Hines faces possession of an offensive weapon charges. He appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 6, and has been remanded in custody. His next court date is set for Tuesday, October 10 at the Old Bailey.
Fatal Stabbing Shocks Wembley Community
The brutal stabbing happened just after 11pm on Sunday, September 24, in Olympic Way, Wembley. Police were called to the scene and found Hamza Iqbal seriously injured. He was rushed to hospital but sadly died from his wounds.
A post-mortem on September 27 confirmed the cause of death as sharp force trauma to the chest. The violent attack has sparked a fast-moving police investigation.
Multiple Arrests in Ongoing Murder Probe
- Joshua Oladele, 19, from Wyld Way, was earlier charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon related to the case.
- A second 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder but has been bailed until December for further inquiries.
- Two women, aged 19 and 29, were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They too are on bail pending further investigations, with hearings due in December.
