Detectives are urgently appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was shot in Lambeth on Wednesday evening. The incident took place on Fairmount Road SW2, prompting a swift response from the police, including specialist firearms officers.
At approximately 21.45 BST. on 11 October, London Ambulance Service received reports of a shooting and immediately alerted the police. Upon arrival, officers discovered the injured teenager inside a residential address. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, had sustained a gunshot wound. He was promptly treated at the scene before being transported to a south London hospital. Fortunately, medical professionals have determined that his injuries are non life-threatening.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Detectives from the Central South Command have taken charge of the investigation and are working diligently to gather information and identify potential leads.
Detective Constable Nick Fletcher expressed his concern over the severity of the incident, stating, “This could easily be a murder investigation. The victim of this shooting, a 16-year-old boy, has suffered a serious injury but is now in a stable condition in the hospital.
