Protest Chants Echo Through the Train

The incident happened during a massive pro-Palestinian demonstration that saw around 100,000 protesters flood the streets of London on Saturday. A video surfaced online showing the driver using the train’s speaker system to shout “free, free,” prompting passengers to respond with “Palestine.”

TfL Launches Investigation, Minister Condemns Distraction

Glynn Barton, TfL’s chief operating officer, confirmed: “A driver has now been identified and suspended while we continue to fully investigate the incident in line with our policies and procedures.”

London Minister Paul Scully weighed in, urging Tube staff to “focus on the day job” and warned against stirring tensions in the capital.
