Coronavirus Testing Hits Half a Million in the UK
As of 9am on 19 April, the UK has completed a whopping 482,063 coronavirus tests. On 18 April alone, 21,626 tests were carried out.
Over 120,000 Britons Test Positive
So far, 372,967 people have been tested. Out of these, 120,067 have returned positive results, highlighting the persistent spread of the virus.
Rising Toll Among Hospitalised Patients
Tragically, of those hospitalised and testing positive, 16,060 have died as of 5pm on 18 April. The death toll continues to mount amid the ongoing crisis.
