Partial Building Collapse on Chelsea Embankment
Firefighters rushed to a partial building collapse on Chelsea Embankment this afternoon. The incident involved part of a terraced building’s external brickwork and a three-storey scaffolding tower crashing down.
Man Rescued from Rubble
A man was trapped under debris but has since been freed by crews. He was quickly taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment.
Road Closures and Ongoing Safety Efforts
Road closures remain in place as firefighters work to secure the unstable building. The Brigade were called at 3:26pm, dispatching teams from Lambeth, Paddington, Fulham, and neighbouring fire stations.
Police Launch Investigation
A crime scene has been established. Police are now working alongside the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) to investigate the collapse.
