Man Jailed For Cannabis Grow In Norwich
A man has been sentenced to one year in prison for drug offences.
Sadik Cupi, aged 38 and of Stevenson Road, Norwich appeared at Norwich Crown Court yesterday (Monday 20 November 2023) after pleading guilty to the production of a class B drug, namely cannabis and theft of electricity.
Cupi was arrested on Friday 2 June 2023 following a warrant executed at his home address. Following a search of the property, 122 cannabis plants were seized alongside various pieces of growing equipment. Three mobile phones and a small quantity of cash were also seized.

Following his arrest, Cupi was taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning. He was later charged with the production of a class B drug, namely cannabis and dishonestly using, without due authority, a quantity of electricity.
Yesterday (Monday 20 November 2023) Cupi was sentenced to one year in prison.
Investigating officer, PC Lewis George said: “We work tirelessly to disrupt organised criminal activity and to remove drugs from the streets of Norfolk.
“We hope this sentence serves as a reassurance to the local community that we will continue to make their area a safer place to live.”
