Police in Liverpool are appealing for information following a robbery that took place on Otterspool Promenade near Festival Gardens. The incident, which occurred yesterday at around 4pm, left a 15-year-old boy with serious injuries.
According to reports, the two victims were riding a Sur-ron E-bike when they were approached by five individuals wearing masks. The masked assailants assaulted the victims and forcibly stole the electric bike. Unfortunately, one of the victims sustained significant injuries that required hospital treatment.
In response to the incident, authorities have launched an investigation and are urging the public to come forward with any information that may assist in identifying the perpetrators. A photograph of the stolen bicycle has been released, with police believing it could be a crucial lead in their inquiries.
Detective Inspector Michael Fletcher expressed concern over the alarming attack on the two young boys and emphasised the community’s commitment to safeguarding its members. He stressed the importance of collaboration with the public, encouraging anyone who witnessed the incident, recognised the stolen bike, or has any relevant information to contact the police.
The stolen bicycle is described as a purple, yellow, and orange patterned Sur-ron E-bike. Detectives are actively working to locate both the bike and the individuals responsible. If you were in the area near Festival Gardens on Otterspool Promenade yesterday at approximately 4pm and witnessed the incident, the police urge you to come forward.
