Fire Breaks Out on Forbury Road
The alarm was raised at 4.30pm last Sunday. London Fire Brigade rushed to the scene and had the blaze under control by 5.34pm. The fire was accidental, sparked by a candle left unattended. Horrifyingly, a man bravely entered the burning home to rescue a toddler believed to be inside. Thankfully, he escaped before firefighters arrived and was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service.

About 25 firefighters from Lewisham, Lee Green, Greenwich, and Deptford stations fought the flames with four fire engines. Their quick action stopped the fire from spreading further and causing more damage.
