Southampton Drug Gang Bosses Locked Up

The notorious Zee network, an organised crime group, ran a drug empire in Southampton’s Newtown from March 2022 to January 2023. Their reign ended in court yesterday.

Leaders Behind Bars

At Southampton Crown Court on Thursday 7 December, gang leader Daniel Mahmood, 29, and key player Daniel Baker, 28, both from Argyle Road, were jailed. Mahmood was slammed with seven and a half years, while Baker received five and a half years for their roles in the drug operation.

Other Gang Members Sentenced

  • Paul Moschakis, 39, of Northam Road – 3 years and 4 months
  • Thomas Jennings Joyce, 29, of Derby Road – 2 years and 8 months

Both pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply crack cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.

Another Member to Face Sentencing

Meanwhile, Lorraine Smith, 37, of The Avenue, also pleaded guilty to the same offences. Her sentencing date is yet to be set.
