Man Arrested in Worthing with Knuckle Duster and Knives
Sussex police have charged a man over a terrifying attack on a woman in Worthing. Lee Dyton, 35, was caught carrying weapons after a shocking incident on Ashacre Lane.
Distress Call Leads to Arrest
Officers rushed to the scene on the evening of December 8 after a woman in her thirties reported being menaced by Dyton. When police arrived, Dyton was found nearby holding a knuckle duster and two knives.
Serious Charges Laid
Dyton faced Crawley Magistrates’ Court on December 11. He is charged with two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, deliberate strangulation, controlling or coercive behaviour, death threats, carrying knives in public, possession of an offensive weapon, and having cannabis, a Class B drug.
Next Hearing in January
Dyton remains in custody awaiting further hearings. His next court date is set for January 8, 2024, with the venue yet to be confirmed.
