In a shocking incident on December 24, 2023, a 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed at a supermarket in Wallington. The incident unfolded in Stafford Road shortly after 3:10 pm, leaving the community in distress.
Officers from the Met Police and the London Ambulance Service swiftly responded to the scene after receiving reports of the stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered the injured man and immediately provided him with medical attention at the location. Subsequently, he was transported to the hospital, and his current condition remains undisclosed.
Police are actively investigating the matter, and no arrests have been made as the police continue their inquiries.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated, “Police were called to a supermarket in Stafford Road, Wallington, at 3.11pm on Sunday, 24 December to reports of a stabbing. Officers attended. A 27-year-old man was found with stab wounds. He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the hospital.”
The spokesperson further added, “We await an update on his condition. A crime scene has been put in place. There have been no arrests.”
